Welcome to lmshelp.fiu.edu for technical assistance with your online, hybrid, or web-assisted course. As a student taking courses via a Learning Management System (LMS), you'll find that the Knowledgebase FAQs are your first resource for answers to our most commonly asked questions. If you're unable to find a solution to the technical issue you're encountering, then our Support Services team will be glad to assist you personally. You may contact us using our email, live chat, phone, or walk-in services. In addition, please be sure to provide us with the following items, in order for us to fully investigate your issue or concern:

  • Your full name and Panther ID.
  • Course and section you're having the issue in.
  • The exact name of the assignment, assessment, etc.
  • Date and time when the issue occurred.
  • Screenshot or video of the issue encountered.
  • Screenshot of the Browser Check results.

Blackboard Learn Maintenance Notice 

  • Please be aware that we will be observing a Blackboard Learn maintenance from Thursday, December 28, 2017; 8:00 PM to Friday, December 29, 2017; 8:00 AM (EST). Our Blackboard Learn production environment will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

Canvas Support During Holidays

  • Phone and live chat support for Canvas will be available normally during the Christmas and New Year Holidays 24/7 365 days of the year.

Modified LMS Help Support During Holidays

  • LMS Help Support Services will be available on a modified schedule on the following days and times: Friday, December 22, 2017 from 8:00am – 12:00 midnight (EST), Sunday, December 24, 2017 and Sunday, December 31, 2017 from 8:00am – 6:00pm (EST). Services will include Phone, Live Chat, and Email only.

Holiday Closings

  • LMS Help Support Services will be officially closed on the following days: Monday, December 25, 2017, Monday, January 01, 2018 in observance of the Christmas and New Year Holidays. For Blackboard Support, please select ‘Email Us’ in the upper right-hand corner to create a ticket/case that will be followed up during the next business day.
